Greenroom: Scene 1

My take on VIDPRD2, day one.

It was the start of the second term in school last week and we were to meet our new professors for the new term~

I came in late for my first Friday class, all thanks to the rain. Good thing Mr. V wasn't so strict about attendance. But I think I won't be late in this class again in the coming days. I don't want to be wasting my time seeing that my VIDPRD2 class will really be fully-loaded with activities and exercises.

I'm really looking forward to Doomsday though... It's this day we've set aside wherein we'd be shooting and editing for our Finals. Then come Birthday where we would be screening our movies, along with another class.

What I found interesting was Mr. V's teaching style though since he was very frank and honest to us--he didn't try to beautify his words for our sake. It did scare me but it got my eyes open; at least now I know what I should be expecting and how I should be preparing myself for those expectations.

He taught us a lot of new things (well for me) which should really be new anymore since they were supposed to be taught in VIDPRD1, sadly those lessons weren't retained in my thoughts.

Enjoyed the short film we watched just before class ended. We had to watch this silent film, which was about 100 years old already. It was in black and white, of course. Title was The Kuleshov Experiment. It was a very smart experiment, stitching together three elements which have no connection with each other but because they were stitched together, the brain forces itself to come up with a conclusion.

Well now, I'm cramming up my brains to write a decent synopsis for my finals... It's really hard coming up with something. I need to have more ideas...

CREATIVE JUICES, WHERE ART THOU?

I'll try to walk around to refresh my mind, get this writer's block off my head.

Fast Forward and Rewind

It's funny how we want things to move forward and speed up and when after that's happened, we them to go back to the way they were.

And sometimes we actually end up regretting why we wanted things to speed up... probably because we never got to grasp what was there when it was there.

*SIGH*

Zero Nine Times Three

I haven't blogged here in a long time. I've deserted my blog for quite some time due to school work, stress, pressure and even more stress.

Haha, but today, today is an extra special day!Today's 09 September 2009. Or 09.09.09.

Read something cool on the Yahoo! Home page about it. Thought it was amazing how Numerologists figure out stuff behind things like this. Read it here. It's really cool. :>

Anyway, it said something there about this day being significant and all since it only happens once in a century. And I was thinking how this day could be like any other day. But I actually felt that today was really actually different from all the other days in this year.

Well first of all, I had a hell of a good time with my friends. Don't get me wrong, I do, everyday, but today just felt different. One of our profs invited us out for some late night drinking and a few friends of mine obliged--it was sorta a celebration since Finals is ended and it was also the prof's birthday..

I must say that that was the most fun we had since we got to talking about a lot of stuff. Stuff we don't talk about the classroom. And believe me, it was a relief talking about it.

As mention, LATE NIGHT DRINKING. It started around 9pm (lol, more 9!). Friends and I decided to just go and drink a glass and leave an hour later. T'was already 10pm and we were having so much fun that we moved the leaving time to 11pm! Haha, we had more glasses and ate more fun.

Kev and I we're on our way home, we were waiting patiently for the bus stop. NO BUS CAME. We decided to take a risk and ride the Jeep instead---to Baclaran. It was scary since the driver took a different route! O_O We got scared. Good thing, this other guy in the jeep (we were only three in the back of the jeep) asked us where we were headed to and he told us how to get there! Lifesaver!

So anyway, the jeep dropped us off at The Heritage, a place I've only seen from the bus, I've never really stepped foot on. We just had to take the other jeep back to Casimiro. Kevin and I had to walk the streets of Baclaran! At 12midnight! FTW. With laptops in our bags! O_O Some scary sh*t right there! O_O

Well, after our quest to find a jeep, finally found one and an hour later, home safe. Over all, I thought this day was adventurous since I haven't commuted that late and all~ And it was another adventure for me and Kevin. 090909 is gonna be so memorable. :))
